Persik Kediri prepares tactically for Madura United derby

Persik Kediri is focusing on tactical training during a competition break to prepare for their upcoming match against Madura United in the fourth week of the BRI Super League 2026/27. Coach Marcos Reina stated that while previous sessions focused on physical conditioning, this week's training aims to refine tactical aspects and ensure player recovery.

The upcoming match, described as a ‘Derby Jatim’, will take place at Stadion Brawijaya in Kediri. Persik Kediri currently sits 11th in the standings with four points, following a recent 0-1 loss to Dewa United at home. However, the team has shown recent improvement with a 2-0 win over Garudayaksa FC and a 1-1 draw against Arema FC.

Coach Reina expressed a desire to restore the home stadium's reputation as a difficult venue for visiting teams, calling for strong support from the fans. Madura United enters the match in strong form, holding second place in the standings with nine points after winning their first three matches of the season.
