Pertamina Geothermal Energy posts 15.5% profit rise in Q2 2026
PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) announced a net profit of US$79.61 million for the second quarter of 2026, a 15.48% increase year‑on‑year. Revenue grew 14.7% to US$235.03 million, driven by higher geothermal electricity production which reached 2,745 GWh, up 13.62% from the previous year.
Chief Financial Officer Fransetya Hasudungan Hutabarat said the results reflect “consistent execution of an effective, efficient and sustainable business strategy,” noting positive exchange‑rate gains and reliable plant operation. The company’s equity stood at US$2.01 billion while liabilities fell 2.8% to US$961.18 million, strengthening its capital base. CEO Ahmad Yani highlighted geothermal power as a strategic pillar for Indonesia’s clean‑energy transition, adding that PGE now manages about 70% of the nation’s geothermal capacity.
