Pertamina Hulu Energi records 935,000 barrels oil‑gas output in H1 2026

Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the upstream sub‑holding of Indonesia's Pertamina, reported that production in the first half of 2026 reached 935,000 barrels of oil‑equivalent per day (MBOEPD). The output comprised 459,000 barrels of oil and 2.756 billion cubic feet of gas per day.

During January‑June 2026 PHE drilled 278 exploitation wells, carried out 601 workover operations and performed 13,870 well‑service activities to maintain asset reliability. Exploration work included nine new exploration wells, 189 km of 2‑D seismic lines and 2,848 km² of 3‑D seismic surveys, which yielded an additional 108 million barrels of contingent resources and boosted proven reserves by 24.9 MMBOE. Corporate Secretary Hermansyah Y. Nasroen said the results demonstrate PHE’s commitment to sustainable production and strengthening national energy security.
