Pertamina Patra Niaga increases fuel supply to Bali to resolve shortage

Pertamina Patra Niaga is implementing emergency measures to resolve a fuel shortage in Bali caused by distribution delays and vessel arrival issues. The company is injecting 57.9 million liters of fuel into the region, consisting of 44.9 million liters of Pertalite and 13 million liters of Pertamax, to restore normal service levels.

To alleviate long queues at gas stations, Pertamina has increased the number of 24-hour operating stations in Denpasar and Badung to 66. The company has also deployed 108 fuel tank trucks and 465 drivers to support distribution. Additionally, fuel terminals at Sanggaran and Manggis are operating 24 hours a day to optimize the supply chain.

Local authorities, including the Governor of Bali and the Indonesian Ombudsman, are monitoring the situation. While the fuel quota remains adequate, the disruption has caused significant queues, leading to reports of citizens requiring medical attention due to heat exhaustion. Pertamina has warned the public against hoarding or the illegal resale of subsidized fuel.
