Pertamina Patra Niaga expands coastal education program in Bitung

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi has developed the Rumah Anak Pesisir (RASI) in Bitung, North Sulawesi, as part of its social and environmental responsibility program. Since its initiation in 2023, the non-formal education space has reached more than 145 children in the Candi residential area of Bitung Barat I.

The program utilizes an experiential learning approach that combines education, play, crafts, and environmental exploration. It aims to foster environmental awareness and help coastal children understand the importance of their local ecosystem as a vital part of their identity and future.

Activities organized through the program include the Coastal Children's Festival, Coastal Preservation Missions, and various workshops and competitions. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Bitung Integrated Terminal, local community groups, volunteers, and various local stakeholders.
