Pertamina Patra Niaga implements renewable energy and waste management programs

Pertamina Patra Niaga is implementing various social and environmental responsibility programs to promote sustainability in Indonesia. In Kalijaran, Cilacap, the company is optimizing the use of new and renewable energy (EBT) for sustainable agriculture through its ‘Mapan’ program. This initiative addresses challenges such as irrigation limitations and climate change by utilizing a hybrid irrigation system powered by solar and wind energy to support food production and waste management.

In Guwosari, Bantul, the company is supporting a sustainable waste management ecosystem through the ‘Go Sari’ program. The Guwosari Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (TPS3R) facility currently processes approximately 4.5 tons of waste daily. This initiative has created 27 green jobs with social security coverage and serves as an educational center for 21 institutions and universities regarding environmental management practices.
