Pertamina strengthens conservation at Kebun Raya Pucak

Pertamina Patra Niaga Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Hasanuddin is implementing the ‘Pertamina Forest’ program to enhance environmental conservation at Kebun Raya Pucak in Maros, South Sulawesi. The initiative focuses on forest and land fire (karhutla) prevention and the development of eco-friendly innovations.

In collaboration with Manggala Agni Daops I Sulawesi, the South Sulawesi Provincial Environmental Office, and local residents from Tompobulu Village, the program provides education on fire detection, preparedness, and early response. Additionally, the initiative introduces the use of shallots as a base for natural auxin, a plant growth regulator, to promote productive use of local resources.

Lilik Hardiyanto, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, emphasized that sustaining conservation areas requires continuous collaboration between corporations, government agencies, technical experts, and the community.
