Perth County reports summer economic development and tourism growth

Perth County’s economic development and tourism division reported a productive summer period, focusing on business retention, tourism marketing, and infrastructure projects. Key highlights include supporting a $13.2 million expansion for Listowel Technology Inc., which received $1.5 million from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.

The department also engaged with provincial and federal officials regarding a potential new manufacturing facility in the county. Tourism efforts included the launch of the ‘Farmhouse Fires’ experience at The Perth Farmhouse and a marketing campaign that distributed over 76,000 brochures. Additionally, work continues on the FRAME + Find Tourism Wayfinding Signage Strategy.
