Perth driver fined for playing Minecraft while driving

A driver in Perth, Western Australia, has been fined after being caught playing the video game Minecraft while driving on the Tonkin Highway in Forrestfield.

Western Australia Police released footage of the incident, which shows a motorist swerving across the road while interacting with the game on a phone placed next to the steering wheel. Responding officer Don Justin, who was patrolling the area for speeding offenses, intervened after observing the reckless behavior.

The incident was featured on the ‘WA Police Confidential’ podcast, where officers noted that the driver's actions were too dangerous to ignore to prevent potential injury or death to others on the road.
