Perth fuel prices rise above $2 per litre

The average price of unleaded fuel in Perth has increased by 18 cents per litre, reaching an average of $2.30 per litre. Diesel prices have also risen to an average of $2.66.

These price hikes follow the expiration of temporary fuel excise cuts provided by the federal and Western Australian governments on August 2. Although global oil prices have spiked, the cuts, which previously reduced fuel costs by approximately 53 cents per litre, have not been extended.

FuelWatch is advising drivers to compare prices via their website but is discouraging the stockpiling of fuel.
