Perth Glory bolsters women's squad with signings of Maggie Jenkins and Ella Buchanan

Perth Glory announced the addition of New Zealand international striker Maggie Jenkins to its A-League Women roster for the 2026/27 season. The 25‑year‑old forward, a two‑cap Football Fern, was the MVP of the 2025 women’s National League and scored 15 goals in nine games for CF Wellington United and another 15 in seven matches for Auckland United. She said she is eager to develop in a new environment and aims to score frequently for the club.

The club also confirmed the signing of 22‑year‑old defender Ella Buchanan. Buchanan arrives from Western Sydney Wanderers after three seasons in which she made nearly 50 ALW appearances, contributed four goals, three assists and logged 68 tackles and 42 interceptions last term. She highlighted her excitement to join Perth Glory and contribute to a successful finals campaign. Football director Stan Lazaridis praised both players, noting Jenkins’ goal‑scoring pedigree and Buchanan’s versatility and defensive experience as key assets for the team’s upcoming season.
