Perth homes destroyed by overnight fires

Two homes in separate Perth suburbs were destroyed by fires overnight, resulting in one person being hospitalized with burns.

A fire on Hillsborough Avenue in Baldivis destroyed the home of a family of six. According to a fundraising page, the family lost all their possessions and was unable to cover losses due to lapsed insurance.

Authorities suspect that one of the properties may have been deliberately torched.
