Perth hospitality news: restaurant closure and major renovation
The hospitality sector in Perth is seeing significant shifts, with one establishment facing closure and another undergoing major investment.
D’One Sushi and Juice Bar, a staple in the Byford community since 2016, has announced it will close its doors in November. The owner stated the decision was driven by a proposed 60 per cent increase in base rent at the Abernethy Road location. The business noted that attempting to absorb the cost would have required significant price increases that were not aligned with their commitment to fair value.
In contrast, Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth has announced a $3 million renovation. The restaurant will close on October 4th for an overhaul designed to modernize the space while maintaining its existing menu and wood-fired grill. The project includes expanding the bar capacity, adding a third private dining room, and increasing overall guest capacity from 238 to 261.
