Perth weather: Severe storms followed by more rain forecast

Perth experienced a period of volatile weather, starting with a severe storm system on Saturday that brought thunderstorms, hail, and up to 20mm of rain to the metropolitan area. The Bureau of Meteorology issued a gale marine wind warning during the event as strong southwesterly winds swept through the city.

While Sunday offered a brief reprieve with light winds and a maximum temperature of 17°C, unsettled conditions are expected to return. A moderate cold front is forecasted to bring morning showers on Monday, which is predicted to be the wettest and windiest day of the work week. Weather conditions are expected to improve gradually starting Tuesday, with clearer skies and warmer temperatures arriving by the weekend.
