Peru advances hospital infrastructure and hotel investments
In Peru, significant investments are being directed toward both healthcare infrastructure and the tourism sector. The National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN) is advancing three hospital projects in the Ancash region, specifically in the provinces of Casma, Huaylas, and Recuay. With a total investment of S/ 1,599 million, these projects aim to benefit over 187,000 residents.
The projects include the Recuay Support Hospital (S/ 533 million, 71.73% complete), the Casma II-1 Support Hospital (S/ 542 million, 60.5% complete), and the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Caraz (S/ 524 million, 48.75% complete). These facilities will provide specialized care and increased hospitalization capacity.
Separately, the Sociedad Hoteles del Perú (SHP) reported that hotel investment in Peru has reached approximately US$2,000 million over the last decade. SHP leader Ignacio Mendoza noted that 32 international brands are currently investing in the country's hotel development, signaling continued private sector commitment to the national tourism industry.
