Peru Advances Key Road Projects in Arequipa and Cusco Regions

The regional government of Arequipa announced the start of the final segment of the Punta Colorada‑Sahuaní road, completing a long‑delayed link between the provinces of Castilla and Camaná.

Separately, the national road agency Provías executed an expedited contract worth more than 260 million soles to maintain a corridor in the Cusco region that includes Quimbiri, Kepashiato, Echarati, Quillabamba, Santa Teresa and the Machu Picchu hydro‑electric bridge, proceeding despite a precautionary judicial order.
