Peru announces upcoming national holidays and non-working days
The Peruvian government has announced several upcoming holidays and non-working days for 2024. Under a decree by the administration of Dina Boluarte, July 26 has been declared a non-working day for public sector employees, while it remains optional for the private sector to encourage economic growth.
Other significant dates in July include July 23, commemorating the Day of the Air Force, and July 28, the national holiday for Independence Day.
Regarding August, August 30 is a national holiday in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima. While this provides a day of rest for both public and private workers, August 31 is not currently designated as a holiday or non-working day, meaning normal work schedules will apply.
