Peru Announces Vibra 2026 Festival and June Holiday Calendar; Ecuador Sets August Independence Holiday

Peru's cultural calendar for 2026 includes the launch of the Vibra Perú festival, slated for 28‑29 July on the Costa Verde in Lima. The two‑day event will feature more than 35 musical acts across two stages, extensive food offerings from over 40 vendors, and family‑friendly entertainment, with tickets starting at S/ 134 and a discount for Banco de Crédito del Perú cardholders.

Alongside the festival, the Peruvian government has released the official list of public holidays for June 2026, highlighting the mandatory break on 7 June for the Battle of Arica and Flag Day, as well as other observances throughout the month.

In neighboring Ecuador, the next national holiday is scheduled for 10 August 2026, commemorating the First Cry of Independence. The day will be a mandatory, non‑recoverable rest for both public and private sector workers, creating a long weekend for many Ecuadorians.
