Peru celebrates iconic music with Felipe Pinglo Alva tribute and Consuelo Jerí Andes concert in Lima

On July 18, the Centro Social Musical Felipe Pinglo Alva in the Rímac district will host "El Bardo Inmortal: Felipe Pinglo Alva," a tribute concert featuring prominent Peruvian criollo artists such as Rosita Guzmán, Jorge Figueroa, Lucy Avilés and others. The event, held at the Casa Cultural “Mestizos,” includes a lunch and tickets cost S/70.

A week later, on July 24, the Teatro de la Alianza Francesa in Miraflores, Lima, will present "Consuelo Jerí en concierto: un viaje sonoro por los Andes," a multidisciplinary show of Andean music, poetry and dance. Quechua‑origin singer Consuelo Jerí will perform traditional huaynos, yaravíes, harawis and more, accompanied by guitars, young dancers and contemporary arrangements.
