Peru Construction Workers' Scholarship Fund Extends Deadline to Aug 16

The Fondo de Capacitación para los Trabajadores de Construcción Civil (FONDECAPCC) has extended its scholarship application deadline to 16 August. The program, financed by the fund, covers 80 % of academic costs for technical and university courses.

Eligibility requires Peruvian citizenship, age 18 or older, and either employment in the civil construction sector or being a child of a construction worker. Applicants must hold a Constancia de Logro de Aprendizaje issued by the Ministry of Education, not be currently enrolled in another technical or university program, and have internet access and a device for online classes. The initiative is a joint effort of the Cámara Peruana de la Construcción (CAPECO) and the Federación de Trabajadores en Construcción Civil del Perú (FTCCP). Alberto Aramayo, president of the FONDECAPCC board, emphasized the fund’s commitment to supporting the families behind the country’s construction projects.
