Peru CTS deposit deadline shifts to November 16 for 2026

The deadline for the second semiannual deposit of the Compensation for Time of Services (CTS) in November 2026 has been adjusted. According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), the deposit is typically required within the first fifteen natural days of November. However, because November 15, 2026, falls on a Sunday, the deadline for private companies to complete the payment will shift to Monday, November 16.

The CTS serves as a form of unemployment insurance for private sector workers. Under Law No. 32322, which provides exceptional free access to these funds, employees will be permitted to withdraw 100% of their compensation in 2026. This provision is scheduled to change in 2027, when withdrawals will be limited to 50%.

The calculation for the CTS amount is determined by adding the monthly salary to one-sixth of the gratification amount, dividing the total by 12, and multiplying by the number of months worked during the period, up to a maximum of six months.
