Peru drives rural entrepreneurship and circular economy with regional fair and EU business round

In Abancay, Apurímc​h, the First Regional Entrepreneurship Fair gathered 105 rural and women‑led enterprises from projects Haku Wiñay and Mi Emprendimiento Mujer. The participants reported sales of 75,630 soles, showcasing agricultural, livestock, agro‑industrial and craft products, and indicating a positive economic impact supported by the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion and FONCODES.

At the SNI Industria 2026 Expo, a sustainable business round co‑hosted by the European Union and the Peruvian National Industry Society connected 14 European firms with 22 Peruvian companies. The event generated commercial opportunities exceeding 7.2 million soles for circular‑economy technologies such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, water treatment and waste management, reinforcing Peru’s move toward more sustainable industrial practices.
