Peru electoral offices release final polling station member lists
The Decentralized Offices of Electoral Processes (ODPE) in Chanchamayo and Trujillo have published the definitive lists of primary and substitute polling station members for the 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections, scheduled for Sunday, October 4.
Citizens listed must fulfill their duties, as the position is mandatory under the Organic Law of Elections (LOE). Exceptions are only permitted for specific reasons, such as severe physical or mental impairment, being outside the country, or active service in the Armed Forces, National Police, or Volunteer Firefighters.
Those unable to serve must submit an excuse request to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) within five business days of the publication. The process for excuses or justifications for non-attendance carries a fee of S/ 15.80, payable via the Banco de la Nación or the Págalo.pe platform. Applications can be submitted virtually through the ONPE portal or in person at the respective ODPE offices.
