Peru fresh grape exports rise 17.1% to $790 million

Peru's fresh grape exports reached $790 million in the first half of 2026, representing a 17.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri).

The United States remains the primary destination for these exports, accounting for $446 million, an 11.3% year-on-year increase. Mexico follows as the second-largest market with $93.7 million in sales, a 46% increase from the previous year.

Midagri also noted new export markets that had no recorded shipments in the previous year, including Taiwan ($21.6 million) and Israel ($9.3 million), alongside Greece, Ireland, Lebanon, and Cambodia. Peru has maintained its position as a leading global exporter of fresh grapes since the 2022/2023 season, despite the impact of El Niño on the 2023/2024 season.
