Newly inaugurated Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori has begun her term with a 60% public approval rating, according to recent polling by Datum Internacional. The survey indicates widespread support for her administration's focus on economic growth, job creation, and private investment, with high approval for involving the military in public security tasks.
To address rising crime and insecurity, Fujimori has pledged a coordinated response between the government, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Judiciary. Key initiatives include reforming the Criminal Procedure Code to expedite justice and establishing dialogue tables to improve citizen security. She has also emphasized an intelligence-led strategy to combat organized crime.
