Peru Ministry of Education to launch scholarships for COAR students
Peru's Ministry of Education is developing a new scholarship program specifically for high-achieving students from the High Performance Schools (COAR). Announced by Minister of Education José Antonio Chang, the initiative aims to provide top students with opportunities to pursue higher education in strategic career fields necessary for the country's development.
During a supervisory visit to the Colegio Mayor Secundario Presidente de la República in Huampaní—the institution that served as the model for the COAR system—Minister Chang reviewed facilities including laboratories, classrooms, and residences. He also met with students showcasing award-winning robotics projects. The Minister emphasized that the program is designed to reward academic merit and ensure that regional talent is recognized and utilized for national service.
