Peru national football team to face Canada in Montreal friendly

The Peruvian national football team is scheduled to play an international friendly against Canada in Montreal as part of its preparations for the upcoming South American qualifiers. This marks the first meeting between the two sides in several years.

Historically, Peru has faced Canada twice. Their first encounter in 2010 in Toronto resulted in a 2-0 victory for Peru. Their most recent meeting occurred during the 2024 Copa América, where Canada secured a 1-0 win. Peru enters this period following mixed results in North American preparation matches, including a loss to the United States and a draw against Mexico.
