Peru passes law guaranteeing CAS workers a minimum S/300 holiday bonus

The Peruvian government approved Law No. 32732, authorizing a supplementary credit of S/4.160 million for public projects and introducing several labor provisions for workers under the Administrative Service Contract (CAS) regime. The law mandates a minimum bonus of S/300 for CAS employees during the national holidays of Fiestas Patrias and Christmas, with proportional payments if the worker leaves before the payment date after at least one month of continuous service.

Additional CAS benefits include at least 30 calendar days of paid vacation, full calculation of Compensation for Time of Service (CTS) for each year worked, and a contract termination age of 70, with the possibility to work until the end of that year. Temporary contracts that exceed a cumulative five‑year term will be treated as indefinite, providing greater job stability. The National Civil Service Authority (SERVIR) will oversee implementation.
