Peru police identify mototaxista as father in baby abandonment case

Police in Peru have revealed that a mototaxista who reported finding an abandoned infant in his vehicle is likely the biological father of the child. The incident occurred near the Shapaja Bridge in the La Banda de Shilcayo district.

The driver initially claimed that a female passenger left the baby in the backseat of his motokar while he was checking his phone for payment. However, subsequent investigations led authorities to identify the driver as the father and a woman identified as Yarit Paima Taís as the presumed mother.

The infant, approximately one month old, is currently in stable condition at the Hospital de La Banda de Shilcayo. Police are continuing their investigation to clarify the circumstances of the abandonment and the exact relationships between the involved parties.
