Peru promotes tourism and Andean exports at FIEXPO and Huancavelica business expo

At FIEXPO Latin America 2026, Peru showcased rapid growth in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) sector. PROMPERÚ reported a 52.5% increase in international congresses in 2025, with 93 events hosted and Lima ranking as the second‑largest city for congresses in Latin America. Other destinations such as Cusco, Arequipa and Puno were highlighted for expanding their conference capabilities.

From 26‑29 June, Huancavelica will host the eighth Expo Perú Los Andes 2026, featuring around 280 business‑to‑business meetings with more than 40 Peruvian exporters and buyers from over 15 countries, including the United States, Canada, Chile, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Italy and Colombia. The fair will present Andean products such as quinoa, maca, cacao, honey and pisco, aiming to strengthen international market access for small and medium‑sized producers and boost regional economic development.
