Peru schedules major water service interruptions in Lima and Arequipa regions

The state water utility Sedapal announced scheduled cuts to potable water and sewage services in Lima and Callao as part of system maintenance. Residents can check affected districts and expected restoration times via an interactive map, with more than 100 water collection points set up across the city. Contact numbers and social‑media channels have been provided for inquiries. The cuts will affect districts such as Villa María del Triunfo, Villa El Salvador, Chorrillos and San Juan de Miraflores.

In the southern region of Arequipa, the Autonomous Authority of Majes (Autodema) confirmed a temporary suspension of supply in the Colca‑Siguas system. The interruption will begin on 6 July at the Condoroma reservoir and continue through 10 July at various tunnels and treatment facilities, with water flow reduced to an 87 %/13 % split during the works. The shutdown allows specialized technical inspections of canals, tunnels and other hydraulic infrastructure.
