Peru serves as Guest of Honor at Bolivia’s 30th Book Fair and hosts cross‑border literary festival in Tacna
The 30th International Book Fair of La Paz runs from 29 July to 9 August in Bolivia’s Campo Ferial Chuquiago Marka, featuring Peru as Guest of Honor to mark 200 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations. A delegation of Peruvian writers and intellectuals will attend, with tributes to Mario Vargas Llosa, exhibitions of photographer Martín Chambi’s work, and a showcase on the history of rubber. Laboratorios Bagó, the event’s Company Guest of Honor, will also highlight its cultural commitment.
From 6 to 8 August, Tacna, Peru, will host the inaugural “Authors of the Border 2026” festival, bringing together writers, historians and researchers from Peru and Chile. Organized by the civil association La Voz de Ellas Tacna with municipal, consular and Ministry of Culture support, the free‑entry event will feature panel discussions, book presentations and family‑oriented activities in venues such as the Museo Ferroviario Nacional and the Casa Basadre.
