Latin American business and diplomatic sectors report diverse developments

Various business, agricultural, and diplomatic developments are occurring across Latin America. In Colombia, the Agrilink Expo Agrofuturo 2026 in Bogotá aims to drive over US$50 million in negotiations, focusing on technological innovation and sustainability in the agro-industrial sector.

In Argentina, the Capital Norte economic forum in Resistencia will convene specialists to discuss regional development models for northern provinces. Meanwhile, in Mexico, the Senate ratified Lydia Antonio de la Garza as the new ambassador to Peru, and the FEC in Coahuila prepares to present a study on social mobility.

Technological integration remains a key theme. In the retail sector, discussions at eRetail Day Latam highlight how artificial intelligence is redefining inventory and pricing decisions. In Chile, Camila Vallejo has assumed a leadership role at the Inter-American Conference on Social Security to train Latin American leaders.

Agricultural and health sectors are also seeing institutional shifts. Bolivia's Agro Vidas 2026 expects significant growth in visitors and exhibitors, while in Chile, INIA Remehue established an external advisory council to align research with regional producer needs. In Spain, the Ciber consortium and Farmaindustria are collaborating to accelerate knowledge transfer between public research and the pharmaceutical industry.
