Perugia Calcio ownership transfer expected to close within days

The ownership transfer of Perugia Calcio from Javier Faroni to a new group is nearing completion. The transition is expected to occur within days, with a potential definitive closing as early as the upcoming weekend or early next week.

The acquiring group, represented by Arenacuri, is expected to be formed by several entities, including an English fund, companies associated with Ricci and Gaucci, and a firm led by financial consultant Gianfranco Licomati. Due diligence is reportedly concluding, and bureaucratic requirements, such as the auditor's report from June 30, have been addressed.

While the deal was briefly clouded by discussions regarding the Curi stadium and comments from Perugia Mayor Vittoria Ferdinandi, club officials have expressed confidence in the finalization of the contract. The new ownership group is also reportedly exploring projects related to the Pian di Massiano area.
