Perugia City Council Meets AC Perugia Calcio on Club’s Sale Talks

On Wednesday 22 July, the municipal administration of Perugia held a meeting with representatives of AC Perugia Calcio at the Palazzo dei Priori. Mayor Vittoria Ferdinandi and sport assessor Pierluigi Vossi were joined by club general director Hernán Garcia Borras, legal adviser Paolo Fantusati and consultant Filiberto Graziani. The session was convened to obtain a direct update after press reports of a possible ownership transfer. Borras confirmed that the club’s economic‑financial and sporting programmes are proceeding normally and that no critical issues are hindering operations. He explained that a recent purchase proposal was rejected as unsatisfactory both financially and on key conditions, leaving the club open to future interest but without a current buyer.

The administration secured a formal commitment from the club to inform the city promptly of any significant developments concerning its ownership structure. Later the same day, a separate dialogue was held with organised fan groups, where officials reiterated the commitment to maintain transparent communication and addressed supporters’ concerns about the club’s future.
