Perugia secured a 1-0 victory against Reggiana at the Renato Curi stadium, marking their third win of the season and ending a streak of three consecutive defeats. The decisive goal was scored by Tozzuolo in the 4th minute following a corner kick sequence where Stramaccioni hit the crossbar and Riccardi's rebound was eventually converted.
Despite facing significant roster shortages due to injuries and suspensions, Perugia's coach Aimo Diana praised the team's mental strength and physical condition. Reggiana, managed by Attilio Tesser, struggled to find an equalizer, narrowly missing a chance in the final minute when Cavaliere hit the crossbar.
Following the match, Diana expressed pride in the team's ability to react and emphasized the need for continuity as they prepare for their upcoming derby against Gubbio.
