Perugia court resumes trial of Emiliano Volpe for incitement to suicide

The trial regarding the death of Andrea Prospero has resumed at the Court of Assize in Perugia. Emiliano Volpe, a 19-year-old from Rome, is accused of incitement to suicide.

A central focus of the proceedings is the role of private Telegram messages exchanged between the two young men. The prosecution's civil party argues that these communications played a decisive role in determining the student's decision to take his own life. Criminologist Roberta Bruzzone, acting as a consultant for the civil party, is expected to testify regarding a psychological report that supports this causal link.

Conversely, the defense contests the existence of a causal connection between the messages and the death. The defense is presenting its own medical-legal and toxicological expert reports to challenge the prosecution's reconstruction of the events.
