Perugia football club sale pending, buyer may demand coach Giovanni Tedesco’s dismissal

Italian Serie C side Perugia has received a binding offer from the Arena Curi consortium, submitted between the night of 17 July and 18 July, to purchase the club. The proposal, backed by an international investment fund, would cover the club’s existing debts and aims to build a competitive squad over the medium term.

According to a leaked email, the offer includes a condition that head coach Giovanni Tedesco be relieved of his duties, with the cost of his termination expected to be borne by current owner Javier Faroni. The deadline for accepting the offer is set for 21 July at 18:00. Negotiations remain at an impasse, leaving the future ownership and direction of Perugia uncertain and sparking debate among supporters.
