Italian towns host a wave of summer cultural festivals

A series of summer events are taking place across Italian towns in July 2026. In the Lazio region, Latina and its province feature weekend programmes of food, music and cultural activities, while the nearby village of Bellegra hosts the second edition of “Eccellenze in Tour”, showcasing local products such as Pecorino Romano and Abbacchio Romano alongside live music.

In the Marche area, Visso launches “Le Guaite del gusto” with tastings, concerts and outdoor performances, and the Short Out Festival brings free open‑air cinema and talks to the historic Villa La Valera in Arese until 19 July.

Catanzaro introduces its first Pride march, scheduled for 8 August, emphasizing political and cultural rights through debates and performances. Tolfa holds its 17th Jazz Festival from 17‑19 July, featuring Italian and international artists and a street‑parade supported by the Ministry of Culture.

Other towns such as Città di Castello, Crotone (Calabria Movie Film Festival), and several smaller municipalities offer exhibitions, theatre, concerts and community fairs, all aimed at promoting local heritage, tourism and cultural participation.
