Perugia police recover stolen smartphone using GPS tracking
Police in Perugia successfully recovered a stolen smartphone by using its built-in GPS tracking system. The device had been stolen in the Casa del Diavolo area by an unidentified individual.
Following the signal, officers located the device within a shopping center in Perugia. Upon arrival, police observed a group of young people acting nervously. During a subsequent search, a minor was found in possession of two mobile phones without SIM cards and a health insurance card belonging to another person.
The minor was reported to judicial authorities for the crime of receiving stolen goods. The recovered smartphone has been returned to its rightful owner.
