Peru's 911 Emergency Center reaches 63% construction progress
Construction of the new 911 Emergency Center in Chorrillos has reached 63% physical progress, with completion expected by the first quarter of 2027. The project aims to centralize emergency, urgency, and information services under a single number, unifying current lines used by the National Police of Peru (105), Firefighters (116), the Mobile Emergency Care System (SAMU 106), and the Line 100 program.
The facility will initially serve over 10 million residents in Metropolitan Lima and Callao. It will house 90 operators and 100 dispatchers across various first-response agencies. The infrastructure includes a specialized crisis room and a modern monitoring control room equipped with a videowall for 24-hour coordination.
A key component is the Emergency Attention and Management System (SAGE), a technological platform designed to centralize call reception and resource dispatch. This system will integrate real-time call geolocation, public surveillance cameras, and interoperable communication tools, including radio, telephony, and the National Police's TETRA radiocommunication network.
