Puno to host free serenade by Los Mojarras at Banchero Rossi for Fiestas Patrias

The city of Puno is preparing a free public serenade on July 27 as part of its Fiestas Patrias celebrations. The event, organized by the municipal Fiestas Patrias Commission and led by its president Pedro Ticona Ticona, will feature the national folk group Los Mojarras together with local musical ensembles. It will take place at the Banchero Rossi dock and will be open to all residents without charge.

The municipal budget allocates S/ 183,000 for the festivities, which also include a morning gastronomic fair, a midday exhibition of Peruvian Paso horses, and additional cultural activities that run through the following Monday. Security personnel will be positioned at the venue entrances to ensure order and public safety while health precautions are advised for attendees.

Organizers aim to boost local commerce, promote regional cuisine, and strengthen cultural identity during the long holiday period.
