Peru's Ministry of Education announces teacher promotion process

Peru's Ministry of Education (Minedu) has announced the 2026 Public Competition for Scale Advancement for Technical-Productive Education (ETP) teachers. The process is designed for educators within the Public Magisterial Career who train youth and adults for the workforce.

Miriam Ponce Vértiz, Vice Minister of Pedagogical Management, emphasized that technical education is vital for improving employability and connecting learning with market demands and entrepreneurship. The advancement serves as professional recognition for teachers working primarily in Technical-Productive Education Centers (CETPRO).

The competition schedule includes: - Registration: October 1 to 7, 2026, via the official Minedu application. - Evaluation instruments: November 24 to December 29, 2026. - Requirement verification: November 24, 2026, to January 12, 2027. - Final results: February 10, 2027. - Publication of winners and assigned vacancies: February 16, 2027.
