Peru's Ministry of Education opens registration for 2026 teaching contest

The Peruvian Ministry of Education (Minedu) has opened registration for the 2026 National Contest of Good Teaching Practices. The competition is open to teachers and administrators from initial, primary, and secondary education, as well as alternative and special basic education.

Registration is virtual, free of charge, and available until October 7. The contest focuses on established practices that have already demonstrated results rather than theoretical ideas. Eligible initiatives must have commenced in 2025 and continue within the same educational institution. Participants may enter individually or in groups of up to five educators.

Following the initial registration of basic information, participants will be required to submit evidence to substantiate their results and complete necessary formal declarations.
