Peru's MTC coordinates with MEF for Pariachi Tunnel funding

The Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) is coordinating with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to secure resources for the Pariachi Tunnel, a component of the new Carretera Central project.

This coordination follows political pressure from Junín deputy César Muedas, who has called for explanations regarding the budget required to complete the highway by 2027. The project's progress has faced uncertainty due to delays in the government sending supplementary credit projects to Congress.
