Peruvian cultural festivals announced for Lima

Two major cultural events are scheduled to take place in Lima to promote Peruvian heritage and music.

On October 31, 2026, the “Cajón y Sabor” event will be held at Scencia de La Molina to celebrate Día de la Canción Criolla. The performance features Lucía de la Cruz, Brunella Torpoco, and El Zambo Barbieri, alongside María del Carmen Padilla. The six-hour event aims to revive traditional criollo music through singing, dancing, and live DJ sets.

Additionally, the Regional Federation of Folklore and Culture of Puno will host a launch event for the Candelaria 2027 festival on November 22, 2026, at the Estadio Nacional. This presentation will showcase Puno's traditional dances and sikuri music, aiming to boost tourism and national visibility for the religious and cultural festivities of the Virgen de la Candelaria.
