Peruvian designers showcase collections at Colombiamoda 2026 in Medellín
Former Miss Peru and TV host Natalie Vértiz opened and closed the runway for the Peruvian label Ayni at Colombiamoda 2026 in Medellín, praising the brand’s focus on hand‑crafted textiles made by women artisans. Ayni, founded by Adriana Cachay and Danish designer Laerke Skyum, highlights alpaca, pima cotton and other natural fibers while promoting economic independence for Peruvian women.
Designer Annaiss Yucra also made history, presenting her "A‑Culturación" collection on the official Non‑Stop platform of Inexmoda. Her work, the first Peruvian brand invited to the program, explored identity, migration and memory through motifs such as a trucha‑salmon print, and was accompanied by a pop‑up exhibition at the Marie Claire Colombia salon. Both appearances underscored Peru’s growing presence at one of Latin America’s premier fashion business events.
