Peruvian football scouts target young talents in Europe
The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) is actively pursuing young players with Peruvian heritage playing in Europe to strengthen its national team prospects. The federation plans to meet with 17-year-old Norwegian midfielder Lucas Myklebust, who currently plays for Stabæk Fotball II and has represented Norway at the U-17 level.
In Italy, 17-year-old goalkeeper Matteo Tassara, who has Peruvian roots and previously played for Peru's U-16 national team, has reached a milestone in his professional development. Tassara was called up to the Virtus Entella first-team squad for a Serie B match against Mantova. Although he did not enter the pitch, he served as the second goalkeeper on the bench, marking a significant step toward professional football in Italy.
