Peruvian footballers Zambrano and Saravia discuss career moves

Peruvian defender Carlos Zambrano has expressed his desire to return to the Peru national team. Currently playing for Sport Boys, the 37-year-old stated he feels in peak condition to be considered by coach Mano Menezes for upcoming call-ups. Zambrano noted that his strong performance in the Torneo Clausura supports his readiness and emphasized his willingness to contribute to the squad in any capacity, whether as a starter or from the bench.

Separately, defender Marco Saravia addressed his failed transfer to Sporting Cristal. Saravia confirmed that negotiations took place but stated he is unaware of why the deal did not materialize, noting that the process was managed by his cousin. Following a period of recovery from injury, Saravia expressed his eagerness to return to regular competitive play.
