Peruvian gunmen kill and wound multiple victims in separate Lima and Tumbes shootings

In the Villa El Salvador district of Lima, a vehicle was intercepted by armed gunmen who opened fire with at least 18 rounds. The passenger was killed on the spot and the driver was seriously injured before the assailants fled. Police and the Public Ministry opened an investigation, collecting shell casings and reviewing surveillance footage.

In the La Cruz district of the Tumbes region, a home in the La Cantera settlement was attacked by three gunmen who fired around 20 shots. César Alexis Aguayo Silva, 33, was killed and two women, Nicole Stephanie Paz Juárez and Marleny Malmaceda Rosillo, were wounded. Authorities from the National Police and the Public Ministry are conducting forensic and criminal investigations.

Both incidents highlight a pattern of high‑intensity armed attacks in Peru, prompting local security forces to intensify investigations and public safety concerns.
